1. Circling is a relational space that aims to reveal one’s present moment experience by exploring the unknown, incomplete, and ambiguous aspects of oneself.
  2. The practice of circling seeks to welcome all layers of human expression, including so-called negative or inappropriate emotions such as anger, sadness, and inadequacy.
  3. The facilitators are committed to caring for each participant’s experience, but sometimes dissonance may arise, which could trigger discomfort or difficult emotions for some people.
  4. Circling is not therapy, although it can be therapeutic. It is not guaranteed to be a “safe space” because everyone’s boundaries and comfort zones are different.
  5. If a participant has concerns or needs support, they can speak with the facilitator(s) during breaks or after the session.
